Imagine it began as the Presbyterian School for Indian Girls, known to some as Minerva Home, founded in Muskogee, Indian Territory, in 1882 to provide primary education to young women of the Creek Nation.

    Will Rogers High School

    WPA workers raised Will Rogers High School at 3909 E. 5th Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1939. Built by Tulsa Public Schools in 1939 with WPA workers, this building was designed by Joseph R. Koberling, Jr. and Leon B. Senter and carries the name of the humorist Will Rogers, who died in 1935 with Wiley Post in a plane crash.

    Frank Lloyd Wright completed Westhope at 3704 South Birmingham Avenue in 1931 for his cousin Richard Lloyd Jones. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1931 for his cousin Richard Lloyd Jones, the publisher of the Tulsa Tribune, this two-story house is one of only three buildings in Oklahoma that Wright designed and has been cited as the only one of his textile-block houses outside California.
